Some will set a goal to lose enough weight to comfortably be able to tie their shoes, or to fit into a particular outfit or to get to a certain number on the scale. Others may set a goal to get to a certain percent body fat or to reduce weight in order to reduce blood pressure or get off certain meds. Give yourself a target, and you will be more likely to be successful! But the goals must be realistic and they are best if they are specific, measurable and have a time element.
